The Tasman meeting has been a well-loved feature of the HSRCA calendar for a decade now, and we’re looking forward to returning to the format.
This year’s event will feature a contingent of significant overseas cars. Many of those are Formula Juniors that will be participating in The Tasman Tour 2016 including the Formula Junior Diamond Jubilee World Tour.
The tour is set to begin at Barbagallo Raceway in Perth, before crossing the country to Sandown and then making the journey north to join us for the Tasman Trophy. Once we farewell them, the crew will cross the Tasman and finish with events in New Zealand.
The opportunity to race with international drivers and cars is a special one, so please do join us for this special occasion and make these drivers welcome.
Historic racing is about friends and family, and yours are most welcome to join us at the Tasman Trophy. Along with the usual spectator access, food and the ARDC Garage Kitchen, Bar and Café, we will be providing a quiet, relaxing space for those who’d like to take a breather from the action and enjoy a refreshment or two.
Corporate hospitality and a media room will also be made available. Please get in contact if you are interested in taking this up.
Subject to sufficient grid sizes the meeting should comprise:
- All Fifth Category groups from J, K & L up to and including Group Q & R cars. Cars that are able to run safely with these groups are most welcome to run as invited cars and these groups will include machinery from Groups P & T, Formula 5000 and others
- The Tasman Tour 2016 including the Formula Junior Diamond Jubilee World Tour
- Trophy races for most groups, including perpetual trophies
- Invited All Lotus Regularity group
- Commentator’s award for the best driving performance
Unleaded and leaded fuel will be available at the circuit. Camping is also available.
The success of all of our events is thanks to your support and involvement. We’re extremely grateful for your continued support and hope for you to join us once again for a brilliant weekend of motorsport in the summertime.
Please pass this invitation on to friends and family and encourage them to get involved – the more friends we have to race and talk cars with, the better!
We’re looking forward to going racing with you this November.
All enquiries should be directed to the race secretary – Mark Stockwell at email@example.com.
With every good wish for a memorable weekend of classic motorsport,
The HSRCA Race Committee

2016 Tasman Tour Down Under
The Historic Sports and Racing Car Association of New South Wales is very pleased to offer the 2016 Tasman Tour Down Under to international competitors.
The Tasman Tour Down Under will offer event entry and transportation of cars visiting Australia for competition in a series of historic race meetings taking place in October and November of 2016. It will also include the option to continue on to New Zealand for meetings that will be held in January and February of 2016.
The series is a continuation of the highly successful biennial Tasman Revival meetings which the HSRCA has run at Sydney Motorsport Park since 2006. Its Australian leg will include the WA Sporting Car Club’s historic meeting at Barbagallo Raceway over the 22nd and 23rd of October, the Victorian Historic Racing Register’s Historic Sandown at Sandown Park over the 5th and 6th of November and the finale at the HSRCA’s Tasman Trophy this November 19th and 20th.
Each of the 2016 race meetings will include feature events for Formula Junior cars as part of the Diamond Jubilee Tour which is being arranged by the Formula Junior Historic Racing Association.
